The Training Division is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality training programs designed to prepare Columbia Fire & Rescue personnel to effectively serve the community. Recognized as the backbone of the organization, training ensures that all staff maintain the skills and knowledge required to meet the evolving needs of the city’s residents. Each member of the department participates in over 240 hours of training annually and completes certification programs administered by the Tennessee Fire Commission for the fire service.
