Council Member Kenny Marshall


Kenny Marshall Website HeadshotKenny Marshall serves as the City of Columbia Ward 4 Council Member and is a long-time resident of the Columbia community. Married to his wife Beth for over forty years, they have raised two children, Tyler and Lauren, and cherish their roles as grandparents to Ashton and Landon.

After graduating from Columbia Central High School, Kenny's career journey began with a 35-year tenure at his family business, General Machine Works. Then, following his interest in education, he briefly taught Industrial Arts at Columbia Central High School for one year before venturing into entrepreneurship. Today, Kenny is the proud owner and operator of Marshall Mobile Welding. 

Inspired by his family's legacy of public service, particularly his grandfather Clement Marshall's tenure as Vice Mayor in 1970, Kenny felt compelled to run for City Council to give back to the community he loves. He believes in the broad potential of Columbia and is passionate about helping positively direct its inevitable growth. 

Aside from his professional endeavors, Kenny has actively participated in community sports, coaching youth teams in baseball, softball, and soccer. Additionally, as a former amateur and professional motocross competitor, he now finds joy in the exhilaration of road and mountain biking, boasting an impressive eight state championships.
